OUGD503 PRESENTATION BOARDS TALK

Presentation boards advice:
- Start off with the finished piece to create a great first impact.
- At the bottom/top include your name, the awarding body and the competition name.
- Explain the concept and aim, and how the concept was developed.
- Collateral of resolution.
- Be concise, straight to the point.
- Resolutions should be well photographed and/or mocked up.
- Show where to go in the future - how the idea/product can keep developing year on year.
- How your idea fits with the brands identity/ethos now.
- Small amount of confident annotations to explain each board.
- Show how the concept can be applied to anything (in mock ups/annotations), such as bottles, website, in store etc.
- Preferably landscape presentation boards as the will probably be viewed on a laptop or computer which all have landscape screens.

This talk was really beneficial as we have never produced presentation boards before, only design boards, so it was useful to see the difference between the two and examples of winning entries presentation boards as well, to influence our own and know what to include to be effective.
